Side-swiping the fragments of a story and character that shows real emotion in order to have an immediate sex scene that suddenly becomes semi-consensual is a lame way to introduce a 14-volume story, and one that in later chapters is painted to clearly be a mistake. I don't think this comic ever really came back from the rushed beginning, in large part due to it also having a rushed ending.
